23 November 2012

Lion Locomotive, the only surviving example of a typical 1830s steam locomotive in the world, was presented with a prestigious Engineering Heritage Award by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers on Friday 23 November at the Museum of Liverpool.

The historic locomotive joined the Jaguar E-Type, the Vulcan Bomber and Bletchley Park’s Bombe code-breaking machine on the list of Engineering Heritage Award winners.
