Presented by Hugh Sumner, Director of Transport, ODA

Hugh Sumner led on transport for London’s 2012 Games successful bid in 2003, his team developing the plans submitted to the IOC.

Having put in £6.5bn of transport infrastructure upgrades for the Games, his team and their delivery partners will now move nearly 10m spectators to all the sports venues across the country.  This will embrace mainline rail, coach, bus, park and rides, walk, cycle and river – a Games based on public transport

Hugh was previously Managing Director of an Infrastructure Company and before that led the team that operated and maintained London Underground.
